Selaginella 'Resurrection plant'

Selaginella lepidophylla 'Resurrection plant'

Common names: Spikemoss, Resurrection Plant, Rose of Jericho

Although this plant is a moss, it is native to the desert and has adapted to live in regions where it is not guaranteed consistent water like most members of it's family. It gets it's name, Resurrection plant, from it's ability to withstand drought and travel lazily through arid regions, and resurrect itself in the presence of water.

Light: Bright Filtered

Water: Water this plant like an air plant, with a bath about once a week or as it starts to dry out. They don't want to stay in water like their semi-aquatic relatives.

Ease: Easy Breezy

Pet Friendly: No

Care: Resurrections plants will most appreciate distilled water, and are fairly sensitive to chemicals in tap water.
