Resurrection Plant 'Selaginella lepidophylla'
Resurrection plants are any poikilohydric plant that can survive extreme dehydration, even over months or years. Selaginella lepidophylla is a desert species that belong to the Spikemoss family, Selaginellaceae. They have creeping stems that grow horizontally and have scale-like leaves. This plant can also be called the False Rose of Jericho and can be found across the deserts of the United States and Mexico. The resurrection plant will take about 4 hours to turn green once placed in water and will take up to a few days to unfurl to its full capacity.
