Alocasia polly 'African Mask'
Common Names: African Mask, Polly, Elephant Ears, Giant Taro
Alocasia is a family of around 80 varieties of subtropical plant, known for their impressive leaf design, shape, and size (some varieties have leaves that can grow up to 3 feet in length!) This striking plant is known for its deep veins, dark green arrow-shaped leaves, and marbled purple under leaf. They do require a bit more attention as they want a lot of humidity, are not drought-tolerant, and will burn easily if exposed to direct sun. If you can provide a nourishing environment, you will be rewarded with their stunning foliage enlivening your space. This popular alocasia is known for it's glossy purple broad leaves with serrated edges, and it brings a jurassic and dramatic feel to any space.
