Alocasia amazonica 'Bambino'
Common names: African Mask Plant, Polly, Elephant Ear, Giant Taro
Alocasia is a family of around 80 varieties of subtropical plant, known for their impressive leaf design, shape, and size (some varieties have leaves that can grow up to 3 feet in length!) They do require a bit more attention as they want a lot of humidity, are not drought-tolerant, and will burn easily if exposed to direct sun. If you can provide a nourishing environment, you will be rewarded with their stunning foliage enlivening your space. Bambino is frequently mistaken for Polly, but is distinct with it's narrower leaves and slightly smoother edges, resembling more of an arrowhead.
