Add as many items as you wish to your shopping cart while browsing our store. You cannot check out with items that are only available in our Boulder store as well as items that you want shipped to you. If you want items from both sections of our website you will need to check out in two separate transactions.  Once you want to proceed with the order - do so by going to the cart and clicking "checkout". Follow the instructions by providing us with delivery information and select payment method the for goods - we will ship your package within 3-5 business days. We can also offer same-day and next day local shipping through Shipsi for a flat rate of $8.99.

If you are located in a cold region of the country and want to purchase houseplants between November and April, please add a heat pack to your order. 

We recommend 1 heat pack per 3-4 houseplants. 

Please submit a contact form or email us at as soon as possible if you would like to change or cancel your order. We will do our best to process the request. 

Please note we usually are not able to cancel or edit an order after a tracking number or shipping label has been made.

You can select your preferred payment method at checkout. We accept secure payments for local customers via Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, Elo, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and G Pay.

For Plants

We do not offer returns or refunds on plants purchased from our Boulder location. We take every precaution to ensure that you are bringing home a plant in optimal health. Plants are living organisms—and as such, we cannot take responsibility for any adverse treatment that may happen outside of our care. Plants that are shipped directly from our nursery partners in California and Florida have a 30-day return policy to cover accidental shipping damages. 

For Home Goods

We can issue a return or exchange on items that are in sellable condition within 30 days of purchase.

Tickets for events are non-refundable. Should there be an instance that a customer needs to cancel, we will allow them to apply the cost of the ticket towards a future event.

How does the monthly subscription box work?

Our monthly subscription box delivers fresh and healthy houseplants every month to your delivery address. Each month, a different plant is chosen for the monthly box from our team members. Subscriptions can be paid for month to month or even a year in advance. 

Subscription boxes can only be shipped within the contiguous 48 states. You can shop our different subscription boxes through our website here.

What if I'm unhappy with the subscription box?

We do not accept returns for the monthly subscription boxes. If your plant arrives damaged, please send an email with a photo to upon receiving your plant.

What are the Subscription Terms & Conditions?

By purchasing a subscription box, you agree and acknowledge that you subscription has a recurring payment charge and you agree Terracotta may submit monthly charges to your credit card. By purchasing the subscription, you accept responsibility of recurring charges. Monthly charges are not refundable if you box has shipped. At this time, you may not use any promo or discount codes to purchase the subscription box.

Shipping Times:

  • Standard 3-4 day shipping is using FedEx and USPS is free.
  • Same day and next day local shipping using SHIPSI is a flat rate of $8.99

  • We package the plants in our warehouses in Southern California and Florida to ensure safe shipping.
